Between Sand and Sea

Alessandro Albanese Gallery is delighted to host the duo show Between Sand and Sea: Solenne Fabre and Marilyn Sonneveld curated by Valeria Schäfer in his Matera’ venue. Between the Tyrrenian, Adriatic and Ionian sea, lies Matera, an unique city made out of cave dwellings carved into the ancient river canyon. A barren and rich city at the same time. Tourists can only visit it with physical exertion and yet it is always jam-packed. The sun is setting and no sea on the horizon. In this unique surrounding, Between Sand and Sea tells the story of two female artists and their approach on painting, forms and colors.
